The celebrity hotspot, co-owned by the actor and restaurateur Ranjit Bindra, will soon bid farewell to diners. The Bohemian-themed upscale restaurant is one of the city’s most sought-after dining destinations. Taking to her Instagram handle, Shilpa Shetty posted a statement by the restaurant announcing a special farewell night on Thursday, September 4.

Bastian Bandra in Mumbai, ever since it opened, has been on the wishlist of not just Mumbaikars but every foodie visiting the city. The drool-worthy pull-me-up cakes, endorsed by Shilpa Shetty, bougie salads and Mediterranean plates have been relished at both the restaurant and on Instagram. But now, it’s time to bid farewell to Mumbai’s favourite dining spot.

Shilpa Shetty announced its closure with a note that stated her feelings on the same. She wrote that Thursday (September 4) marks the end of an era. Bastian Bandra, which gave its diners countless memories and unforgettable nights, will now take its final bow. The final curtain call involves a special farewell night thrown to patrons to celebrate its almost culinary journey. Short but certainly sweet!

Shilpa Shetty’s Restaurant To Throw A Farewell Night On Thursday

While Bastian Bandra will shut down, Shilpa Shetty’s brand’s second outlet, Bastian At The Top, will continue to serve diners, as always. The rooftop restaurant sitting on the 48th floor of the Kohinoor Square building in Dadar West will operate as usual. This news comes amidst hushed whispers of the actor and her husband, Raj Kundra, being embroiled in a ₹60 crore loan cum investment defraud.

The actress hasn’t cited the reason for the restaurant’s closure. But Ranjit Bindra revealed to NDTV that it’s just a short pause for renovations. Before Bastian opened in Bandra to a sprawling decor in 2023, the facility first came into being in 2016. For 9 glorious years, Bastian has been a much-talked-about brand in Mumbai’s food scene. On Thursday, the brand looks forward to bidding farewell with a smile, delicious food and its effervescent vibes.
