How Did Boojee Become A Celeb-Favourite?

Boojee was founded by Rajdeep Singh Kukreja in 2019, when the café started off in a tiny 100-square-foot space in Bandra. The 15-seater outlet didn’t even have a washroom, but that didn’t stop the brand from finding its place in Mumbai’s food scene.

According to Bizz India, Kukreja saw an opportunity in the market for healthy food that was also affordable and, importantly, tasted good. He put nearly ₹10 lakh of his savings into the venture and opened the compact sandwich joint. Kukreja opted for a café model instead of a traditional restaurant, which allowed Boojee to stay open from 7 AM to 11 PM and make the most of its operating hours.

Soon, the café became a hit for its delectable food and beverages. Not only did locals enjoy it, but celebrities also began frequenting the café for its soft and cosy ambience. What started as a 15-seater outlet is now one of the most popular café spots in Mumbai.
