At around 10:50 AM on Thursday, a massive fire broke out in a high-rise building in Jogeshwari West, Mumbai, leaving several people stranded on the top floors. Emergency services rushed to the scene to evacuate people and bring the blaze under control.

According to Hindustan Times, the fire erupted at JMS Business Centre near Gandhi School, a commercial high-rise in Mumbai’s Jogeshwari West area. The blaze started at around 10:50 AM and so far, there has been no report of any injury. Fire fighters rushed to the spot as soon as they received the alert, and multiple fire engines have been deployed at the site.
As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), the incident is a Level-II call. A News18 report said that around 10-15 people are stranded in another wing of the building. Rescue operations are currently underway as the fire fighters are trying to douse the fire.

Rescue Operations Underway
As per reports, at least 12 fire engines and various firefighting equipment have been deployed at the Jogeshwari West building to control the massive fire. Multiple agencies have been deployed, and efforts to put out the fire are currently underway. More details about the cause of the fire are still awaited.
In another incident, a massive blaze broke out at a residential building in Indirapuram in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad. The accident happened on October 22 and the fire department teams were able to rescue more than a dozen families. Reports suggest that the cause of the fire was fireworks lit in the apartment premises during Diwali celebrations. Thankfully, no injuries were reported in this incident.
