Nandita Das’ Zwigato Starring Kapil Sharma Is Now Tax-Free In Odisha

Kapil Sharma starrer Zwigato is making a lot of buzz. The reviews of the latest movie by the director Nandita Das are great and the cast and team members must be really happy with such good responses. Well, there is another good news for the production house as well. The Odisha government has now waived the entertainment tax on this Bollywood movie. Zwigato is now running tax-free in Odisha. A Screening Of Zwigato Was Hosted At Odisha CM’s Residence!

Nandita Das held a special screening of the movie on Wednesday for Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik. After the screening of the film took place, CMO Odisha took to its official Twitter account to make the announcement of making Zwigato tax-free in Odisha. Here’s the tweet shared by CMO Odisha.

Zwigato is the story of a delivery executive and his family going through many struggles in this time of recession. The movie revolves around the journey of a delivery boy that we are mostly unaware.  This movie has been shot in Bhubaneshwar and captures so many places of the state capital. According to a report by The Times Of India, Naveen Patnaik believes that this movie can help to boost the tourism sector of Odisha. Not only for travel purposes, but many places in the state can also become the shooting locations for more upcoming movies.

CMO Odisha also tweeted about how this influences the tourism potential of the state and comes with many job opportunities for the youth. Odisha’s Chief Minister also appreciated Nandita Das for choosing Odisha’s capital as the shooting location of the new movie, Zwigato.

The Odisha government is also putting efforts and working to boost the state as a great filming location for more and more movies, and even commercial movies.

The Trailer Of This Movie Has Premiered At Many Prestigious Film Festivals

During September and October of 2022, Zwigato’s trailer has been premiered at the Busan International Film Festiva and Toronto International Film Festival.
