Navi Mumbai International Airport Will Open Its Doors From 2024, Says Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis

It has been quite a long time since the construction process of Navi Mumbai is going on. And finally, it will welcome flights and passengers on board from 2024. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was addressing the Maratha Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) on Sunday. During that time, he stated that the Navi Mumbai international airport will open its doors in 2024.

The Deputy CM stated some news on the under-construction airport while addressing the MCCIA. He further shared that Maharashtra’s ‘industrial culture’ will get back out there shortly. He also talked about how all the stakeholders need to come together and work in taking the state to ‘number one again’. Devendra Fadnavis pointed out some crucial upcoming projects such as EV transportation, Purandar airport, logistics hub at Purandar, and Pune Metro.

While addressing the MCCIA, Devendra Fadnavis said that the government is working for the Purandar airport in Pune. The government understood the necessity for the Pune airport and they are working on that. In addition to all these, the government is in the plans for a logistics hub at Purandar with the airport. He talked about the importance of connecting the Navi Mumbai and Purandar airports. The Deputy CM focused on the significance of the Pune Metropolitan Regional Development Authority and Mumbai Regional Development Authority.
