As it happens, the capacity of the intersection of Nadd Al Hamar Road and Ras Al Khor Road was also enhanced by constructing, a two-lane bridge which stretched 988 m. Moreover, there is also a free left turn for the incoming traffic from Nadd Al Hamar Road that is going in the direction of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road. Moreover, a 115 m long two-lane bridge for servicing the incoming traffic from Nadd Al Hamar Road to Ras Al Khor Road for vehicles moving towards Dubai-Al Ain Road was also constructed. Additionally, a two-lane underpass spanning 368 m that offers a right turn for traffic coming from Ras Al Khor Road towards the Nadd Al Hamar has also been constructed.
It should be noted that this project has been carried out in two phases, in which the first one involved widening of the Ras Al Khor Road. Yes, with this, the road was widened from 3 to 4 lanes in each direction and two-lane service roads were constructed on both sides. Moreover, this has also boosted the capacity of the road to 10,000 vehicles per hour, thereby cutting the travel time from 20 minutes to a mere seven minutes.
So, if you are someone who regularly travels in this area, the opening of this corridor is bound to make it easier for you!
