Gurgaon DM Amit Khatri has recently passed on order, stating that movement passes won’t be required for people travelling from Gurgaon to Delhi airport or railway station. They will need to show their confirmed flight or train tickets to travel across the Delhi-Gurgaon border now. Also, people arriving at the airport or the railway station can reach their destinations in Gurgaon with these tickets. Read on to know the details.
Delhi-Gurgaon Travel Allowed With Confirmed Air or Train Tickets
Gurgaon residents who need to catch a flight or train from Delhi can book their cabs from Uber, Ola and other taxi services and show their confirmed tickets at the borders. Only ‘police-verified cab numbers’ are permitted to operate in these special cases. The drivers need to sanitize their vehicles after the passengers de-board and also keep a sanitizer handy in the vehicle. It is mandatory for both the driver and the passengers to wear face masks.
In Faridabad too, Deputy Commissioner Yashpal Yadav has confirmed that for commuting to airport from Faridabad, tickets will be more than enough.

What Else?
To travel inter-state for other purposes during the lockdown, one will have to secure an e-pass from the Government of India’s e-pass issuing portal. The portal is offering e-passes for travel to states like Uttar Pradesh. Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Karnataka, Ladakh, Lakshadweep, J&K, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry, Tripura and Sikkim. For crossing Gurgaon and Faridabad borders, passes can be obtained through Saral Haryana.

Travelling by train or flight to far-off places has become much time-consuming now, with commuters bound to follow a long list of safety protocols. This initiative by the Gurgaon authorities will reduce the hassles of the passengers to a great extent.
