After the PM declared the extended lockdown till 14th April, state governments are trying their best to provide residents as much facilities as possible. Many different ways and steps have been taken taken by government to prevent panic among people. Now, there’s a relieving news for Noida residents. The Noida authority has launched a mobile application — Noida Authority Apurti Suvidha — on Android to deliver essential items to residents at their doorstep amid a nationwide lockdown.

What Does It Include
One of the officials was reported as saying, ‘The app is available for Android users and through this app, the residents can order grocery items, vegetables, fruits and medicines that will be delivered to them without any hassles.’
‘They are yet to make the app available for Apple iPhone users. For Android users, the app is available on the Play Store as well as the Noida authority’s website noidaauthorityonline.com, ‘ the official added.

As residents are staying home, without coming out much to buy even essential services, this facility will definitely provide ease to general public. The Noida authority has deployed at least 700 different vendors, who are assigned to each sector and village to provide these doorstep services.
“With the help of mobile application Noida Apurti residents can get to know vendors who supply fresh vegetables and fruits in their respective localities and order accordingly. The application will provide names and contact details of vendors. They can call and order vegetables and fruits and the vendor will deliver it at the doorstep,” Ritu Maheshwari, chief executive officer of Noida authority was reported as saying.
Procedure To Place An Order
The customer will have to enter the area in the app where they live in Noida and also provide a list of essential items they need to order. Once it’s filled, the application will direct the user to sector and service provider name, along with the mobile number. After the option of area and service is chosen, the application will direct to options where users can call and place an order.
Meanwhile, the online grocery sites Grofers, BigBasket and Flipkart have resumed services in the country but they are currently not taking new orders. However, during this period, Big Bazaar was flooded with calls to start doorstep delivery. Therefore, the company has started the doorstep delivery and shared series of tweet mentioning that doorstep service will be available across 16 places in Mumbai, and also mentioned that the similar facilities will be available in Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida soon.
