As reported by India Today, Noida is all set to open the gates for the new wildlife-themed attraction called Jungle Trail Park. Spread across 20 acres, the park has been built using 500 tonnes of industrial and mechanical waste, including fuel tanks, chains, scrap metal, and bolts. The park will welcome visitors from Noida, Delhi, Greater Noida, and Faridabad, and give them a wild experience, right in the middle of the city.

The park is being built in a public-private partnership (PPP) model between the Noida Authority and the private firm Z-Tech. Moreover, the entire project is made at an estimated cost of ₹22 crore. Jungle Trail Park will open for trial visits from June 25, while its official inauguration is scheduled for July, which will be led by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Not Your Typical Wildlife Park

Jungle Trail showcases creativity and sustainability by transforming waste into a wildlife-themed park.  Over 700 life-sized animal sculptures, crafted from recycled materials like old machine parts, chains, and scrap metal, will be on display for the visitors here. The park also aims to promote the vision of the ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’, showing how waste can be transformed into something meaningful, artistic and creative. Visitors can also enjoy a night safari experience, where the sculptures will be lit for an authentic jungle atmosphere. While talking to India Today, Isha Chaudhary, Vice President at Z-Tech, said that the park is a true testament to its commitment to environmental protection.

Will Feature Four Wildlife Zones

The park will feature four distinct wildlife zones, each reflecting animals from different regions of the world:

  • African Savannah: The visitor can walk alongside sculptures of giraffes, elephants, and tigers while exploring the grasslands of Africa.
  • Asian Jungles: You will get a glimpse of Asia’s dense forests, tigers, deer, and vibrant birds here.
  • Australian Outback: Here, you can spot kangaroos and emus, both unique to Australian wildlife.
  • Polar Regions: This zone will house polar bears and penguins sculpted from scrap, set in icy, cold surroundings.
