Remember how we all panicked when the waiting period for UAE-UK visas surged upto 7 weeks? Good news fellas! The waiting period for the same has been slashed to 15 days. Yes, you heard it right, it’s time to take that suitcase out. Let the packing begin!

There has been an upsurge in passenger traffic to the UK as a result of the significantly shortened visa processing time for UAE citizens travelling there.

Due to a number of variables, including a much higher demand for travel and a capacity cap imposed by the London Heathrow airport, UAE citizens were encountering visa delays in 2022. According to VFS, the response times for Priority and Super Priority visas have also stabilized, and the waiting period for UK visas has returned to the customary 15 working days.

The Increased Capacity Of Seats Is The Reason For The Reduced Processing Time

In May 2023, the airline based in Dubai will restart its additional daily route to London Stansted, expanding its London activities to eleven daily flights. This includes six to London Heathrow and three to Gatwick. Additionally, it will expand its A380 operations when the venerable double-decker makes its way back to Birmingham on July 1, 2023.

Many residents changed their travel arrangements to the UK over the warmer months of last year because it was taking longer than seven weeks to obtain visitor visas. Thousands of UAE citizens travel to London for short- and long-term vacations as well as for midsummer getaways, making it one of the most sought-after locations. Flights were hampered last year by London Heathrow Airport’s decision to restrict leaving travellers to 100,000 per day.

During the Eid holidays, a boom in tourism will be caused by an increase in the cap.
