Not Bajaj Or Goel, JP Taparia Buys India’s Costliest Apartment For ₹369 Crores In Mumbai

Mumbai, especially South Mumbai, is known for its expensive and lavish real estate. It is a well-known fact that living in the town part of Mumbai is not cheap and costs more than an arm and a leg. Recently, another high-ticket purchase was made. The family of the industrialist JP Taparia who founded Famy Care Limited, a pharmaceutical company, recently purchased not just any expensive apartment, but the most expensive apartment in India.

JP Taparia’s Family Buys The Costliest Apartment In India

It seems that this is the season for businessmen to buy expensive apartments. Recently, Madhav Goel and Niraj Bajaj, two prominent businessmen bought expensive sea-facing apartments in the Malabar Hill Area of South Mumbai.

Now breaking all the records, the family of JP Taparia is all set to buy an apartment for a whopping ₹369 crores. According to an Economic Times article, this apartment, which happens to be the most expensive in India, is a triplex. It was bought from the Lodha group which is a prominent realty developer.

The Economic Times article also reported that the apartment is spread across a total of 27,160 square feet. This means that the apartment cost ₹1.36 lakhs per square foot. This makes it the most expensive apartment in the entire country.

New Benchmark Set By The Taparia Family

This particular apartment building is under construction and is set to complete in the month of June in the year 2026. This particular apartment is an uber-luxury project that has witnessed purchases from many other prominent businessmen.

Until the Taparia family’s purchase, Niraj Bajaj’s triplex apartment was the most expensive in Mumbai at 252 crores. However, this new purchase has taken the cake for the most expensive apartment in India.

Even Madhav Goel of Tufropes purchased an apartment in the building for 121 crores. The project is located at the posh Walkeshwar road and is located close to the Governor’s estate and overlooks the Arabian sea.
