India will witness 32 lakh weddings by December 14, 2022. With the ongoing wedding season, Delhiites are in a fix. After all, not love, but smog is the air for Delhi couples— who have no choice but to have pre-wedding shoots in smog-free locales and indoor studios. With photographers finding it difficult to shoot photos in outdoors in Delhi NCR covered with smog, this seems to be the best and only choice for couples.
Couples Prefer To Have Pre-Wedding Shoots Outside Delhi Due To Smog
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Shreya Verma an IT professional from Delhi revealed that she had her pre-wedding shoot at a location on the outskirts of Delhi. With gushing waterfalls and lush green hilltops, Shreya says she is glad she chose this locale as the pictures may not have turned out well within the city due to dense smog.
Mani Sharma an owner of a photo studio in Delhi stated to Hindustan Times that he suggests couples have pre-wedding shoots in paid locations, indoors, rather than outdoors. After all, the smog and permissions at heritage sites in Delhi often make pre-wedding shoots a cumbersome process. Permits can go as high as ₹50,000 says Yash Pahuja from a photo studio in Gurugram.

Jaipur, A Haven For Pre-Wedding Shoots In India
Pahuja further added that Jaipur and Udaipur are very popular Indian destinations for pre-wedding shoots. When it comes to Jaipur, couples can have exclusive access to the city’s heritage monuments for pre-wedding shoots. All they need to do is to shell ₹5,000 every two hours to shoot at historical monuments and museums during office hours. For shoots post office hours they need to shell ₹15,000 per hour. Some of the most popular places for pre-wedding shoots in Jaipur include Hawa Mahal, Isarlat, Jantar Mantar and others.
So, Delhiites, if you wish to have pre-wedding shoots then the best places for this are in a beautiful paid studio or a smog-free local outside Delhi. So, where do you plan to have your pre-wedding shoot?
