Have you ever imagined what it would be like eating inside a train without having to worry about which station is coming up next or experiencing any kind of moving motion? Well, you can now experience it soon at Sabarmati, Ambli Road, Mehsana, Bhuj, and Gandhidham Railway Stations in Gujarat. The Ahmedabad Division of Western Railway is set to introduce unique ‘Rail Coach Restaurants’ at these stations in Gujarat.

Railway authorities will be transforming old train coaches into dining spaces and operate round the clock. It is to be noted that these train restaurants in Gujarat are following the footsteps of the Delhi, Mumbai, and Indore divisions of Indian Railways. These cities already have similar coach restaurants that are quite popular. The Railway authorities are already welcoming tenders for the project, and hope to boost Indian Railways’ non-fare revenue (NFR) with this project.
