Launched in February 2024, this innovative centre is the brainchild of Sangita Jindal and Tarini Jindal Handa, and an initiative of the JSW Foundation.

Hampi Art Labs isn’t just an art centre; it’s a testament to the enduring legacy of Indian art and heritage. Its very location, steeped in the rich history of the Vijayanagara Empire, where art, architecture, and literature flourished between the 14th and 16th centuries, serves as a potent source of inspiration.
The surrounding landscape itself, dominated by the majestic Tungabhadra River, becomes an integral part of the artistic experience. Spread across nine acres, Hampi Art Labs offers a haven for artists of all disciplines. The facility boasts well-equipped exhibition spaces, perfect for showcasing established and emerging talents.
But the heart of the Labs lies in its dedicated studios. Here, artists can delve into a range of artistic pursuits, from traditional printmaking and sculpting to contemporary new media. Workshops for ceramics and metalwork further enrich the creative environment, fostering a connection between artistic expression and the region’s vibrant craft traditions.
