On a recent episode of Tere Gully Mein, we met the super funny stand-up comedian Kaustubh Agarwal. While we explored the extremely famous eateries in Delhi’s Tilak Nagar, we also got a sneak peek into his life, his relationships, his career as a comedian, his favourite places in Delhi for food, and a lot more. In fact, we also found out how his parents and family feel about his career.
This Is How Kaustubh Agarwal’s Parents Feel About His Work
While talking about the beginning of his career, Kaustubh Agarwal revealed that for the first few years, his family didn’t even know about his work. And even though his father likes Varun Grover’s comedy, to date, he hasn’t watched any of his son’s work. When they finally found out that he was pursuing a career as a stand-up comedian, they weren’t really supportive of it, as he wasn’t making a lot of money.
But now that, thankfully, his shows have started doing well and he is able to sell tickets, they have become quite supportive. But there’s a twist here as well – Kaustubh Agarwal revealed that now they are so supportive that he would love for them to back off a little. Why? Because now they give him advice and keep a check on whether he is writing or not. Well, there are certainly pros and cons to everything.

He Described His Fellow Comedians
Finally, it was time to have some fun; we decided to play a game where we named some of his fellow comedians, and he had to describe each of them in one word. First, he called Ashish Solanki a ‘buzurg,’ referring to his clean comedy, and assigned the word ‘visionary’ to Samay Raina. Finally, when it came to Tanmay Bhatt, like everyone else, Kaustubh Agarwal called him a ‘legend.’ Next, we named Gaurav Gupta, and he gave him the title of the ‘funniest Baniya in the world,’ revealing that he has watched his solo act over 30 times.
