As soon as I heard that the first phase of the Mahakaleshwar Temple opened its doors to the public, I just knew I had plan a trip to Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh.
Amongst one out of the 12 Jyotirlingas of the country, The Mahakelshwar Temple is rich in history and stories that dates back to iconic mythological stories of Lord Shiva.
It is said that the Mahakal Lok corridor is supposed to be a 900m long and is known as one of its longest in India. The murals in the temple also have tales to tell about the several deities.
To think this is just a part of this 856 crore temple well it’s surely a class apart and nothing short of a divine and breathtaking experience.
