A woman was allegedly attacked by a food delivery agent in Odisha following her complaint about the delay in service. The shocking incident happened on Thursday in Bhubaneswar; the police arrested the food delivery agent and seized the weapon. Here’s all you need to know about this incident.
Food Delivery Agent Attacks Odisha Woman
According to NDTV, a food delivery agent in Odisha’s Bhubaneswar allegedly attacked a woman after she questioned him about the delay in the service. Binodini Rath, the woman who was attacked, had ordered food online, and the service was delayed. When Tapan Das alias Mitu, the accused delivery agent, arrived with her food, she questioned him about the delay.
Reportedly, the two got into a heated argument, and the food delivery agent picked up a sharp weapon and attacked her in anger. He attacked her on her neck, head, hands, and legs. The woman was critically injured and was rushed to a nearby hospital. More details about her injuries are awaited.

Police Confirmed He Was Intoxicated
As of now, the food delivery agent has been arrested by the police for the brutal attack. The weapon used to injure the woman has also been seized. The police revealed that the victim is a nurse and works at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. They further added that the man was intoxicated at the time of the incident, and a medical examination has confirmed this. An investigation is now underway.
The disturbing incident comes weeks after the Bengaluru Police arrested a 19-year-old delivery boy for recording women on MG Road in the city. Reports suggest that he used to post videos and photos on social media.
