Palash Sen Talks About The Difference Between The Music Industry Back Then & Now

Palash Sen

On this fun Tere Gully Mein episode, Palash Sen took our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, to the pretty lanes of Connaught Place in Delhi. Embracing the chilly winters of Delhi, they enjoyed yummy South Indian food and then a big cup of coffee at Palash’s favourite joints. Today, we highlight his thoughts on the music industry.

Palash Sen’s Take On The Music Industry Over The Years

Last year, Palash’s musical band ‘Euphoria’ extravagantly celebrated its silver jubilee. With so many years in the music industry, Kamiya asked him about the changes in the music industry. Palash was quick to respond that there were many drastic ones in the music industry and the audience alike.

One of the foremost things he talked about was the digital revolution. He said, “Now people don’t have the patience, you see. It is the world of the Internet and the mind can’t go beyond 15 seconds.” We have to agree on this with Palash! In a world where our attention span is almost like that of Dory from Pixar’s Finding Nemo, it is difficult to keep track of things.

We began the food trail by visiting one of Palash’s favourite eateries in Delhi. It was Savarna Bhavan in Connaught Place. Here, he loves gorging on South Indian cuisine. Just as Palash concluded the conversation about differences in the music industry, yummy plates of South Indian food were served.

They ordered healthy lunch options at this renowned restaurant. It consisted of idli and vada along with hot sambar and three different chutneys. They paired this with large mugs of fresh orange and pineapple juices. Kamiya couldn’t help but praise the delectable food at the table!

She added that she wasn’t aware that Delhi has such great South Indian food options. It is to be noted that Kamiya grew up in Mumbai so her comment is quite significant given the non-stop debate of Mumbai v/s Delhi! The rest of it is always open for discussion in the comments section.
