In just a few days, we all will unite and celebrate New Year’s Eve 2020. While, things won’t be the same as last year, but the plan to welcome 2021 on a grand scale is still on. And if you are going to spend December 31 on Palm Jumeriah, then we have something for you. Developer Nakheel has issued travel advice to those visiting the iconic island for New Year’s Eve celebrations. And here’s everything you must know. Meanwhile, Burj Khalifa has also updated its rules for watching firework shows this year.

Additional Festive Shuttle Buses Will Operate From Nakheel Mall To The Pointe

New Year’s Eve at Palm Jumeriah has always been quite popular and hence this year to ensure the safety of everyone, some travel guidelines have been issued by the authorities. The organisers are working with the Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality and Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority for safety, convenience, and smooth traffic flow.

For visitors, they are advised to make use of public transport such as The Palm Monorail or taxis. Visitors can use the code THEPALMFOUNTAIN to enjoy discounts to and from The Palm Fountain with Careem until January 2021.

Third-Party Contract Permits Will Not Be Issued On December 31

For people using the shuttle buses, extra festive season shuttle buses will be operating on December 31 from Nakheel Mall to The Pointe. Free rides will be open from 7 PM to 3 AM.

Pedestrian crossings on the Trunk Road at junction-2 and junction-4 will remain shut from 9 PM to 1 AM on New Year’s Eve. When it comes to restaurants and other retail outlets, food deliveries to hotels, retail outlets, and restaurants, will be permitted up to 5 PM. These venues have been advised to schedule accordingly and provide adequate parking.

Lastly, for permits, there will be no permits issued on December 31 for third-party contractors such as moving companies. Hence, all the permits should be obtained in advance.
