Restaurant Seats Panda Dolls Alongside Diners To Make Them Feel Les Lonely
For most people, eating by themselves can get a bit uncomfortable. But Maison Saigon, a Vietnamese eatery in Bangkok is making sure that Thai Diners have some cutesy company while dining!
The restaurant, which recently reopened after Thailand relaxed lockdown restrictions for businesses, is placing one panda doll on each table so customers don’t feel lonely amidst the new seating rules that follow social distancing.
To come up with something like that was the restaurant owner’s idea. Natthwut Rodchanapanthkul was so concerned that the new seating arrangements were making solo diners feel lonely that he came up with the stuffed toy initiative to bring some normality and cheer back to the restaurant.

What Do The Diners Have To Say About This Move?
One of the diners, Sawit Chaiphuek, who stepped out to eat for the first time in months said, “The doll makes me feel less lonely eating by myself”.
Whereas another diner, Siriporn Assavakarint, who felt that the new seating rules often bamboozled diners, said that the army of plush pandas was making things much easier. He added, “It’s a lot easier to understand compared to other restaurants where people always get confused about where to sit and end up sitting too close to each other.”
