In an unfortunate turn of events, a passenger on a SpiceJet flight ended up getting stuck inside the lavatory of the aircraft. This happened on a flight which was heading from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport or CSMIA in Mumbai to the Kempegowda International Airport or KIA in Bengaluru. Fortunately, though, the passenger was saved and no harm befell him. Here are all of the important details that you would need to know about this particular incident.
SpiceJet Passenger Gets Stuck In Plane Toilet For An Hour
According to an article which was recently published by The Indian Express, the incident took place on January 16, 2024, Tuesday. A passenger on a Mumbai-Bengaluru SpiceJet flight got stuck inside the toilet of the aircraft.
If reports are to go by, the door of the aircraft got stuck and no matter how hard the crew tried, it would not open. Once it became clear that the door was jammed and would not open, an air hostess wrote him a note.
The note said that the crew tried their best to open the door but they failed to open it. The note urged him to not panic and that the plane would land in a few minutes. Once landed, they would call an engineer who would open the door and let him out.

Airline Gives Him Full Refund Of The Ticket
To stay safe while landing, the note said that he should close the lid of the commode and sit on it while securing himself safely. Understandably, the passenger must have been scared so the note again mentioned that he should not panic.
The airline confirmed this incident and issued an apology. It also said that a full refund of the flight ticket would be provided to the passenger.
