Do you remember the major worldwide tech outage reported in July? Thousands of flights were cancelled and delayed due to the global tech disruption. Following all those inconveniences and unforeseen cancellations and postponement of many scheduled departures from airports around the globe, a massive issue emerged between Delta Air Lines and its passengers. Many flyers who were supposed to catch a few of the cancelled flights directly sued the airline.

The reason behind this surprising decision is quite concerning. Passengers complained that the airline allegedly refused to offer refunds for the flight delays and cancellations during the tech disruption in July. Delta Air Lines was not the only company to face major disturbances because of the outage. It affected companies worldwide and ceased the proper flow of operations for quite a long time.

People were seen waiting at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport to board their flights and reach their destinations. It was a major chaos with everyone feeling confused, getting frustrated, and losing their calm with no easy solution to escape. Amid all this turmoil, the airline could not manage to recover from this worldwide outage, as stated in the lawsuit. According to a report by CNN, the airline refused to provide automatic refunds, stay options, transportation vouchers, and meals. In fact, passengers had to spend their money on any kind of expenditure.
