Narendra Modi will travel to Jammu and Kashmir for the first time after taking oath as the Prime Minister of India for the third term. He will be there on a 2-day visit on June 20 and 21. Ahead of his arrival, security arrangements have been strengthened in Srinagar and nearby areas. From laying foundations for projects to participating in events, let’s take a look at the Prime Minister’s itinerary for his upcoming work visit.
Narendra Modi Will Reach Jammu & Kashmir On Thursday
After reaching the union territory, he will participate in the ‘Empowering Youth, Transforming J&K’ event conducted at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre in Srinagar at about 6 PM. During this event, he will interact with the Young Achievers of Jammu and Kashmir. PM Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 84 important developmental projects there. From road infrastructural development to water supply schemes to more sectors, all these projects are worth over ₹1,500 crore.
Following these, he will also lay the foundation stone for multiple projects such as:
- Enhancing Chenani-Patnitop-Nashri Section
- Industrial estates development
- Construction of government degree colleges
The Prime Minister will launch the Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture & Allied Sectors Project valued at ₹1,800 crore. Next, he will provide appointment letters to over 2,000 employees who have been appointed to government service, as stated in the Press Release released by the Prime Minister’s Office.
The Prime Minister Will Participate In The International Yoga Day Celebrations
Narendra Modi will lead the International Yoga Day event on June 21. Hosted at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre in Srinagar, he will participate in the 10th International Day of Yoga celebrations. The theme of the event in 2024 is ‘Yoga for Self and Society’. Its primary focus is to emphasise roles to promote individual and societal well-being.
PM Modi will join everyone to take part in the celebrations at about 6:30 AM on Friday. Also, he will address the gathering and participate in the CYP Yoga session. The glorious event in Srinagar intends to unite people “in the practice of Yoga, promoting health and wellness on a global scale”, the Press Release further added.
