On the occasion of Birsa Munda’s 148th birth anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Memorial Park and Freedom Fighter Museum in Ranchi on Wednesday. The day is commemorated on November 15 annually. Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary is also known as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas. Back on November 10, 2021, the Union Cabinet announced the birthdate of Birsa Munda as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas.

Narendra Modi Shared Glimpses Of Visiting The Birsa Munda Museum

Taking to the X (formerly Twitter) platform, the Prime Mister shared some pictures of visiting the museum and paying floral tributes to the statue of Birsa Munda. Here are the snippets of his visit to the famous location in Ranchi.

Modi ji visited the Ulihatu village in Jharkhand. It is the birthplace of Birsa Munda, the Indian tribal activist. He is on a two-day visit to Jharkhand. Hemant Soren, the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Arjun Munda, the Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, and CP Radhakrishnan, the Governor of Jharkhand joined Modi ji during the trip to the Birsa Muna Museum on Wednesday.

Narendra Modi is now the first Prime Minister who visited the native village of Birsa Munda. Not just visiting the museum and paying floral tributes, Narendra Modi has several scheduled plans to participate in during this 2-day visit. According to the Prime Minister’s Office’s press release, he participated in a programme in Khunti. The event was about the third Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas and its celebrations. The release also stated about Modi ji launching the Pradhan Mantri Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups mission and Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra on this work trip to Jharkhand.

Another significant plan in the schedule for Narendra Modi is releasing the 15th installment of PM-KISAN and dedicating it to the country. Along with all these, he is also going to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of different development projects in the state. His 2-day visit to Jharkhand is going to be very eventful with lots of new experiences.

Taking to the X (formerly Twitter), All India Radio News (@airnewsalerts) shared a picture of the Bhagwan Birsa Munda statue at Bhagawan Birsa Munda Memorial Park and Freedom Fighter Museum.

Home to different stories and life about the Indian tribal activist and the contribution of other tribal freedom fighters, this location takes you on a trip to the past. There is a 25-foot statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda inside the museum and it is one of the biggest highlights. The museum is a tribute to Birsa Mumda’s contributions and sacrifice for tribal communities and the country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated this museum on November 15, 2021, via video conferencing. Different memories and stories of tribal freedom fighters are kept there so that today’s generation and the upcoming generations can learn and enrich themselves about their contributions and selfless fights for others. The venue of the museum is the Old Central Jail in Ranchi. This was where Birsa Munda sacrificed his life.
