Several restaurants and local eateries planned to give out freebies such as food samples to encourage Punekars to cast their vote. They helped voters locate polling booths and even guided the differently abled throughout the voting process.

We hope these initiatives by the local residents help boost voter turnout in the city. According to reports, the total voting percentage in Maharashtra was around 18.14% at 11 AM today. Hopefully, the numbers increase afterwards as the voting will be on till 6 PM on November 20.
