Mumbai Metro Line 3 Is Offering Additional Services Due To Election
Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited took to its official X handle to announce the extended metro service.
🚇 On Election Day (20th Nov 2024), Metro Line-3 trains will operate from 4:00 AM on 20.11.24 to 1:00 AM on 21.11.24 to support voters. Plan your travel and make your vote count! 🗳️

As shared by Mumbai Metro 3 on X, trains on this line started running at 4 AM on November 20, 2024. It will continue its operations till 1 AM on November 21, 2024. This announcement is a crucial action to help voters so that they can travel to the assigned booths, increase voter turnout, and make their vote count.
The change in the usual metro schedule is a necessary effort taken to offer smooth connectivity and quick services for voters and election duty staff. The additional hours have been finalised accordingly to ensure better Mumbai Metro Line 3 services. In addition to more departures during operational hours, the expanded service is a step to encourage voters to vote.

Mumbai Metro One informed Netizens about the extended operational hours. For the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha General Election 2024, the first metro trains from Versova and Ghatkopar stations started their journeys at 4 AM. Also, the last services will conclude on the next day at 1 AM “providing uninterrupted travel for on-duty officials,” MumbaiMetro01 shared.

Extending the operational metro hours aims to resolve several issues. In addition to departing earlier than usual and continuing to run beyond the usually scheduled hours, this also provides a more comfortable transportation option for election staff and voters.
