1. UAE residents Urged To Sight Shawwal Crescent
The residents of the UAE have been urged to sight the Shawwal Crescent on Saturday. The 29th day of Ramadan falls on Saturday, which is March 29, and sighting of the Shawwal moon marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan and the beginning of the festival of Eid al-Fitr. So, residents have been urged to see the crescent on the evening of March 29.
2. Working Hours Revealed For Slaughter Houses In Dubai
With the end of the holy month of Ramadan here, the Dubai Municipality have announced working hours for slaughterhouses for Eid. Yes, those in the Al Qusais, Al Quoz, Hatta, and Al Lisalli will operate from 7:30 AM to 2 PM. This is for the first day of Eid al-Fitr. While on the second and third day, the timings will be from 7 AM to 2 PM.
3. Qatar Airways Garuda Indonesia Elevate Partnership
The Doha-based and Indonesia-based airlines have elevated their partnership, which enables both the Privilege Club and GarudaMiles members’ benefits. Yes, they can reap benefits through reciprocal accrual and redemption opportunities that will be applicable across both global networks.
4. Dubai RTA Community Project Benefits 55,000 Individuals
Recently, it was revealed that the community projects by the Dubai RTA have benefited 55,000 individuals during the month of Ramadan. Yes, 20 such community projects, which saw 350 employees dedicating 1,500 volunteering hours, reaped some great results.
5. DP World Foundation Implementing Humanitarian Aid Projects
DP World Foundation, which is the charitable arm of DP World, recently revealed that it is implementing several humanitarian aid projects. These are worth over AED10 million and happened during the holy month of Ramadan. As a result, more than 1,00,000 people across the UAE and the MENA region benefited from the same. In fact, those in Sub Saharan Africa and South Asia also benefited from the initiative.
6. Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Receives Highest Number Of Guests
On the 26th night and 27th day of Ramadan, the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque witnessed the highest number of guests in its history. Yes, it received 1,05,310. people who broke their fast. Worshippers also perform Tarawih and Tahajjud prayers in the atmosphere of peace and tranquility.

7. Red Alert Issued For Fog
A red alert was issued for fog as there was a drop in horizontal visibility. This was till 9:30 AM on Friday, March 28. However, the Abu Dhabi Police also alerted motorists to exercise caution on the road. It is expected that there might be chances of conditions getting humid by night and Saturday morning.
8. Environment Ministry Intensifies Inspection In Saudi Arabia
The Environment Ministry in Hail is intensifying its inspections. The field monitoring campaign is making intense efforts to focus on slaughterhouses. This is also extending to meat, vegetable, and fruit markets in order to ensure that they are complying with precautionary measures and health regulations and is in preparation for Eid al-Fitr.
9. DCD Abu Dhabi Launches Volunteer In 62nd Initiative
The DCD Abu Dhabi has launched the Volunteer in 60 Seconds initiative. This is in collaboration with the volunteers. The platform encourages individuals to volunteer. Also, enabling them to foster a culture of social contribution across Abu Dhabi, this is in line with UAE year of community.
10. Lammah Al Bahr Is Extending Usual Weekend Entertainment
In Abu Dhabi, Lammah Al Bahr is extending its usual weekend entertainment. Happening at the Al Mugheirah Beach in the Al Dhafra Region, this is for the Eid al-Fitr holiday. It will be happening from March 28 to April 1 and will feature a range of family-friendly, cultural, and heritage activities.
