In a fantastic development, Qatar Airways has snagged the best-in-class baggage performance for the year 2022/23. As they have a low mishandling rate of just 0.72 items for 1,000 passengers, this flag carrier of Qatar has emerged on the top. According to a report by Gulf Times, it was revealed that the team of Qatar Airways is serving more than 35 million passengers, and thereby handling more than 57 million pieces of baggage. Not to mention, Qatar Aviation Service, which is the group handling organisation, of the Qatar Airways Group, also achieved an efficient on-time delivery of cargo. Yes, it exceeded 2.1 million tonnes per year with an average growth rate of 2% per year.

It Recently Also Partnered With International Air Transport Association

The airline was established in 2000 and its home base is at Doha Hamad International Airport. Not to mention, the Qatar Aviation Service (QAS) also offers premium end-to-end ground services to international flyers, cargo operators using state-of-the-art equipment, executive charter flights, and private flights. As it happens, in the August of the previous year, it was announced that QAS has partnered with International Air Transport Association. With this, it became the first ground handler globally for joining the new expansion of the IATA Environmental Assessment Programme. A programme for ground service providers, this partnership has played a key role in helping the international airport in Doha gain its world-class standing as an environmental leader.
