The Dubai Health Authority recently announced people can now register in the “Health and Happiness” competition, which aims in promoting awareness about adopting healthy patterns. With the competition running till the end of December 2023, individuals above the age of 18 can participate. Moreover, cash and prizes worth AED2,40,000 have been allocated to the winners. These will be awarded equally to 30 male and female winners.

After a lot of speculations going around about the release of this movie, the UAE Media Council has given a nod for the movie, Barbie for release. Although previously it was slated to hit the theatres in mid-July, moviegoers will be able to watch this movie from August 31, as this has been decided as the release date.

3. Crown Prince Of Abu Dhabi Inaugurates The 4th IMMAF Youth World Championship

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, inaugurated the 4th IMMAF Youth World Championships. Hosting 636 athletes from 45 countries, this championship is organised by the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation. Not to mention, it is hosted by the UAE Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts Federation.

4. Emirates Celebrated 20 Years Of Flying to New Zealand From Dubai

On August 2, Wednesday, Emirates celebrated 20 years of flying to New Zealand from Dubai. It should be noted that this service began with two inaugural flights, the first via Sydney and the second from Melbourne. Over the past two decades, they have served more than 16 million passengers between Dubai and New Zealand.

7. First Edition Of Baseball League To Be Hosted In Dubai This November

Baseball is a famous American sport, and now it has also found enthusiasts in the UAE. Keeping up with this, a new baseball league, Baseball United, announced that the first edition will be held in November. The inaugural season of the league will feature four teams, including Dubai Wolves, Abu Dhabi Falcons, Mumbai Cobras, and Karachi Monarchs.

8. Soon You Will Be Able To Fly From Dubai To Surat Directly

Surat is regarded as the Diamond City of India, and soon you will be able to fly directly to this city in the state of Gujarat from Dubai. According to Union Civil Aviation Minister, Jyotiraditya Scindia, these direct international flights may begin by the end of 2023! So, if you’ve been planning to visit this state, you will soon be able to take direct flights.

9. Ferry Service Between Dubai & Sharjah Resumes

The ferry service between Dubai and Sharjah has begun again on Friday, August 4. This was initially announced by the Dubai Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) on their Twitter account. With this resumption of service, the commute time will become much shorter, as the ferry takes approx 35 minutes to complete the journey.
