According to a report on Page 6, a source revealed that the Top Gun: Maverick star and the late Queen Elizabeth II “really hit it off”. The palace insider stated that the late queen was absolutely delighted to have a friend in Tom Cruise. She first struck a friendship with Cruise, during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, earlier this year.

Tea, Windsor Castle Tour, Special Treatment & More

The queen informed Tom Cruise that she was very disappointed to not meet him during the pageant due to her ill health. So, she rather invited him over for a special tour of Windsor castle. Later, Queen Elizabeth and Tom Cruise had tea together. The source added that she loved meeting Tom Cruise. The late queen even invited him another day for lunch. Tom cruise was even permitted to arrive in a helicopter.

They shared a heartwarming secret friendship. Apparently, Tom Cruise received full VIP treatment. Queen Elizabeth arranged for photographs to be taken with Tom Cruise during their private meeting. And that’s not all. She also let the Hollywood star take a shot at firing a ceremonial gun. Now, that sounds super fun! infact they planned to meet again for a lunch date but alas Queen Elizabeth passed away on September 8 at the age of 96.
