Rajamouli’s RRR Was Filmed In Ukraine Before War

War-torn Ukraine is engulfed in smoke and terror now and the sights from the country are no less than tear-jerking. Dilapidated buildings, dismayed faces, curfews and shellings have crumbled Ukraine down to a bed of desolation. But before the Russian invasion, Ukraine was a gorgeous European nation with marvellous cityscapes. The movie RRR by S.S. Rajamouli gives some beautiful glimpses into the Ukraine of the pre-war times.

RRR Actor Ram Charan Lends Financial Aid To Bodyguard In Ukraine

Reportedly, some important scenes from RRR including the superhit Naatu Naatu Song were filmed in Ukraine. The filming of Naatu Naatu took place in Kyiv. Actor Ram Charan is now in contact with Rusty, who was his bodyguard from Ukraine during RRR filming. Rusty has now joined the military to fight the war, along with many other Ukrainians. Speaking to Variety, Charan said that Rusty had sent him ground-level videos from the war-struck nation. Running chill down our spine, the actor said that he saw frozen bodies and the they weren’t frozen in cold but because they were burned. He also sent financial help to Rusty. Rusty’s wife had been keeping unwell. With the money sent by Charan, he could purchase medicines for his wife.

Rajamouli Expressed Concerns About His Team Members In Ukraine

According to a Hindustan Times report, director Rajamouli has said that he is concerned about the people who had worked with the RRR crew in Ukraine and stated further that he is trying to know about their well being. Rajamouli said that he got to know that some from his Ukraine team are fine and he still needs to know about others.
