The Beawar-Bharatpur Greenfield Expressway in Rajasthan has now received DPR approval. This survey will be completed within the next 18 months and after that the budget allocation for the project will be finalised, and the construction work will begin.

This new greenfield expressway will cover a total distance of 342 km. It will be designed to improve traffic flow, enhance connectivity, and significantly reduce travel time. According to Moneycontrol, the Rajasthan government plans to acquire 3,175 hectares of land for the construction of this project. If all things go as planned, then the Beawar-Bharatpur Expressway will be completed by 2030.

The upcoming Beawar-Bharatpur Greenfield Expressway is a key infrastructure project of Rajasthan’s ‘Vision 2047’ plan. In the 2024 state budget, the government announced the construction of nine greenfield expressways across Rajasthan, with the aim to complete five of these expressways by 2030!

The upcoming expressway will begin at NH-58 in Beawar and connect to NH-21 in Bharatpur. It will pass through important towns such as Gulabpura, Kekri, Todaraisingh, Uniara, Tonk, and Niwai. Reportedly, it takes around 7 to 8 hours to cover the 370 km distance between Beawar and Bharatpur right now. Once the new expressway is constructed, the travel time is expected to be significantly reduced. This is mainly because the expressway will bypass densely populated areas and feature fewer turns. It will allow vehicles to travel at higher speeds and enhance overall travel efficiency.
