So, it is heartening to see celebrities like Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani paying extra attention to the environment while planning their wedding. The couple is all set to tie the knot in Goa on February 21 and they’ve made it an eco-friendly celebration. The main highlight, besides the many small steps, is that they have decided to plant trees after concluding all the ceremonies to minimise the carbon footprint caused during their three-day wedding celebration.

According to sources close to the couple, Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani are planning a green wedding. To ensure all their ceremonies are environmentally safe, the couple has taken several steps. To begin with, they have forgone physical invites in favour of e-invites to save paper.

They will have a three-day long wedding celebration, commencing on February 19, with the wedding ceremony on February 21. During these ceremonies, Rakul and Jackky have requested their friends and family to avoid bursting crackers. They have implemented a ‘no cracker’ policy during the celebration and will adhere to it throughout.

They will then plant trees accordingly to balance out the damage caused. This step is quite impressive and shows their commitment to sustainability.
