With rising temperatures, the urge to sip on something cool and eat something cold is simply undeniable! This year, it looks like Indians are rediscovering the joy of traditional and timeless cold desserts in summer. According to Scandalous Foods’ report, with soaring temperatures, the demand for traditional chilled desserts is also increasing.
It’s All About Comfort, Temperature, And Tradition This Season
As per Scandalous Foods’ latest insight-led report, there has been a 33% surge in demand for traditional chilled sweets like Ras Malai and Shahi Tukda this summer. This marks a clear shift in consumer preference toward comforting, nostalgia-driven indulgences this summer season.
The report shows how the combination of comfort, temperature, and tradition is reshaping the dessert preference in India. It further elaborated that dessert brands that offer cold, indulgent offerings are likely to find strong resonance with consumers this season.
