Restaurant Style At Home Ep 15: Bengali Chingri Malai Curry By Oh! Calcutta

Chingri Malai Curry or Prawns Malai Curry is a traditional Bengali dish and on this episode of Restaurant Style At Home, we have the popular Indian chain Oh! Ingredients

For Prawn Marination 
5-6 peeled prawns
salt (1/2 tsp)
green chilli (1/2 tsp)
ginger paste (1/2 tsp)
marinate for 20 mins

For Prawns Malai Curry
mustard oil (2 tbsp)
bay leaves & green cardamom
onion paste (3- 4tbsp)
coconut paste (1 tbsp)
tomato paste
coconut milk (2 cups)
garam masala

Step 1: Marinate 5-6 peeled prawns for 20 mins

Step 2: Start by making the curry by adding Mustard Oil, bay leaves, some cardamoms, onion paste, coconut paste & the tomato paste. Let the ingredients roast for sometime and when it changes the color you can then add some water to it.
Step 3: Saute the prawns in mustard oil for 2-3 minutes and not for too long as prawns don’t take too much time to cook.
Step 4: Mix the prawns in the curry and then add some coconut milk and finish it off with garam masala
