Be WTR Launches Circular Water Bottling Plant In Abu Dhabi
Be WTR and Rosewood Abu Dhabi have launched Abu Dhabi’s first fully circular water bottling facility. The launch event happened at Majlis by Pierre Hermé. The event brought together key government officials, industry leaders and even sustainability advocates. This event saw the unveiling of BiG 1500, which is a fully automated, state-of-the-art glass bottling machine. It has been designed to support a zero-waste, plastic-free future and saves more than 1000 tonnes of CO₂ annually.
The facility will be located within Rosewood Abu Dhabi, and it will offer locally sourced still and sparkling water. This water will be supplied to Rosewood Abu Dhabi, which is on Al Maryah Island, thereby eliminating the carbon footprint that is associated with the transportation of bottled water. Not to mention, this exemplary move supports the UAE’s Net Zero by 2050 strategy.
