Dubai’s culinary scene just got a glamorous upgrade! At an exclusive event at One&Only One Za’abeel Hotel, Michelin revealed its latest selection for The MICHELIN Guide Dubai 2024. Out of 106 top-notch establishments, 35 different types of cuisine have dazzled the famously anonymous MICHELIN Inspectors.

New Stars In The Dubai Sky

For its third edition, The MICHELIN Guide Dubai shines a spotlight on four new MICHELIN Star restaurants and one new two MICHELIN Star restaurant. Additionally, six new Bib Gourmands join the ranks.

Row on 45 has made an impressive debut with two MICHELIN Stars. This gem, crafted by acclaimed British chef Jason Atherton, is nestled on the 45th floor of The Grosvenor House. The restaurant offers an exclusive tasting menu for just 22 guests, blending Japanese ingredients with French techniques to create dishes that epitomise refinement.

Four Fresh One MICHELIN Star Restaurants

Dubai welcomes four new MICHELIN Star restaurants to its culinary constellation:

  1. La Dame de Pic: Chef Anne-Sophie Pic’s Dubai debut features modern French cuisine with subtle local influences.
    Where: 25th Floor, The Link, One&Only One Za’abeel, Za’abeel 1, Dubai
    Cost: AED 1500 for two people
  2. Smoked Room: Chef Dani García’s fire and grill artistry from Madrid brings a creative edge to Dubai’s dining scene.
    Where: The St. Regis Dubai, The Palm Jumeirah, Dubai
    Cost: On-Demand
  3. Sagetsu by Tetsuya: Chef Tetsuya Wakuda fuses Japanese and French culinary influences in a chic setting.
    Where: One&Only One Za’abeel, Dubai
    Cost: AED 800 for two people
  4. Orfali Bros: Run by three Syrian brothers, this restaurant offers globally influenced small plates with bold, balanced flavours.
    Where: Wasl 51, Jumeirah 1, Dubai
    Cost: AED 285 for two people

Maintaining their distinctions from last year, Dubai now boasts four restaurants with two MICHELIN Stars and fifteen with one MICHELIN Star.

In addition to the new MICHELIN Stars, six restaurants have been awarded the Bib Gourmand for offering great quality and value:

  2. Revelry
    Where: Dubai Hills, Dubai
    Cost: AED 100 for two people
  3. Berenjak
    Where: Dar Wasl Mall, Al Safa, Dubai
    Cost: AED 325 for two people
  4. Hoe Lee Kow
    Where:Dubai Hill Estate, Business Park, Dubai Hills, Dubai
    Cost: AED 425 for two people
  5. REIF Japanese Kushiyaki
    Where: Dubai Hills
    Cost:AED 220
  6. Konjiki Hototogisu
    Where: Mall of the Emirates, Al Barsha, Dubai
    Cost:AED 200 for two people

Special Awards and Recognitions

Michelin also celebrated the diverse talents within the hospitality industry with special awards. The Young Chef Award goes to Jesus Lobato Suarez of Smoked Room, whose calm leadership has earned him a MICHELIN Star. The Sommelier Award honours Michael Mpofu of Celebrities by Mauro Colagreco for his engaging and knowledgeable approach to wine. The Service Award recognises the warm hospitality at DuangDy by BO.LAN, led by Apichaya Khomson and Veerawich (Champion) Chanthawatthamkul.

Finally, the Opening of the Year award goes to The Guild at ICD Brookfield. This vibrant venue offers a coffee shop, a greenhouse-style meeting room, a cocktail bar, and two restaurants, making it a bustling addition to Dubai’s dining scene.
