Ryanair Plane Crashes Into A Runway Barrier In Greece After Landing
A Ryanair plane crashed into a runway barrier at a Greece airport while taxiing after landing. The flight, en route from London, landed safely at the Kalamata International Airport and was manoeuvring around the runway when the incident took place on Wednesday.
According to NDTV, a spokesperson for Ryanair said that the flight had landed safely, but “the wing tip came in contact with a fence” as it was taxiing. The low-cost Irish carrier’s aircraft is now undergoing the required inspections and maintenance before it will return to service.
According to passengers on board, before the crash on the runway barrier, the Ryanair flight experienced “severe turbulence” during the almost four-hour flight. One of the passengers shared with the media that they heard a loud bang, and the impact of the crash was something everyone on board felt. Thankfully, no passenger or crew member was injured.
