Indian Tea And Italian Panna Cotta
For Indians, a cup of masala chai is the first thing to drink after waking up. The freshly brewed black tea with aromatic spices like ginger, green cardamom, star anise, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and more is simply refreshing. Consuming chai wasn’t a regular practice earlier, however, it has gained popularity and become a part of our routine.
Every highway, road, and alley has little sellers by their sides; these are frequently the only businesses open through the night. Typically, they also offer refreshments and smoke. Many will transport tea in a chai daan, a carrier for cups with a wooden or metal frame, to people’s places of business.
The term “cutting chai” refers to the halving of the quantity contained in a full cup to minimise the cost of the cup of tea. Cutting chai is served by roadside tea shops in the large city of Mumbai in smaller cups for a lesser price.
Panna cotta is an Italian dessert with coffee or vanilla used for flavouring. It was listed among the traditional foods produced in 2001 by the Region of Piedmont.
