Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj & Umrah recently launched a one-year Umrah Visa offering multiple entries. This is an Umrah visa, which would allow visitors to enter the kingdom several times with a cumulative stay of up to 90 days. It should be noted that this visa would be valid for 365 days from the date on which it is issued.
Ministry Of Hajj & Umrah Launches 1-Year Multiple-Entry Umrah Visa
As mentioned by The Siasat Daily, it replaces the previous three-month Umrah Visa as part of the Saudi Vision 2030. Moreover, it also supports the Pilgrim Experience Programme that aims to enhance the overall pilgrimage experience. As further mentioned, pilgrims will have to purchase a service package through an approved provider on the Nusuk App. And of course, they will have to obtain an Umrah permit via the Nusuk application before every visit. It should be noted that the permit date must be the same as the approved service package. Moreover, the duration for this cannot exceed the remaining number of days that are available under the visa.
What About The Requirements?
The applicants will have to complete the application form for the first visit. After this, they will have to fulfil all travel requirements before departure. For subsequent visits, a new service package and permits will be required before a person can re-enter Saudi Arabia. As revealed by the ministry, the visa will be deactivated after each departure. It will be reactivated once again when the regulatory conditions are met.

They Cannot Be Used During Hajj
It should be noted that these multiple-entry visas cannot be used during the Hajj season. It will remain inactive from the first Dhu Al Qadah until the 13th of Dhu Al Hijjah.
Finally, before concluding, it’s worth mentioning that this is an Islamic pilgrimage to the holy city of Makkah and Madinah. Umrah can be performed throughout the year, and it is different from Hajj. The latter is obligatory for Muslims, provided they are physically and financially able to undertake it.
