Most private schools in Dubai will finish earlier on Fridays from 2026 onwards. This comes after the nationwide Friday prayer schedule was changed. Regarded as the world’s largest falconry festival, the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival has begun in Riyadh. This festival began on Thursday, December 25th and is taking place at the Saudi Falcons Club’s Malham Facility.

5. Commemorative Stamps Issued Marking Al-Faw’s UNESCO Recognition

To commemorate the UNESCO recognition of the Al-Faw Archaeological Area, the Saudi Post has issued SAR3 stamps. This is the eighth Saudi site that has made it to the list of the UNESCO world heritage site. Located in Riyadh, it is strategically positioned along the ancient trade routes.

6. SalamAir Announces Direct Flights To Port Sudan

SalamAir recently announced that from January 27th onwards, the low-cost carrier will fly to a new destination. Yes, it’s launching the Muscat-Port Sudan service three times per week in 2026. And this is going to make connectivity between the two destinations better, for those who are looking to travel.

The Dubai RTA has issued a travel advisory for people who are visiting Global Village or Dubai Miracle Garden. Yes, they even asked to check their nol cards status before they start the journey. This has been done to avoid any delays or inconvenience while travelling.

9. Visa-Free Travel Between Oman & Turkey

Strengthening bilateral relations, Oman and Turkiye have officially activated the mutual visa exemption. This is for their citizens, and the landmark agreement came into force on November 1st, 2025. This move comes up after a high-level diplomatic talk. Under the new arrangement, Omani citizens can travel to Turkey without a visa, and Turkish citizens can also visit Oman visa-free. As such, they will be able to stay for up to 90 days visa-free within a 180-day period for tourism

10. Dynamic Message Science Cut Journey Time

Dubai RTA has revealed that the dynamic message signs have reduced travel times by up to 20% on key corridors. Not to mention, they’ve also further enhanced road safety by offering early warnings about accidents, traffic congestion, or even weather conditions.
