The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and China have signed a mutual visa exemption agreement. This is for the holders of the diplomatic, special, and service passports. As it happens, the agreement has been part of strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries. Here’s all you need to know about this development, as revealed in a report by Saudi Gazette.

Saudi Arabia and China Sign Mutual Visa Exemption For Diplomats

During the talk organised between the ministers, a comprehensive strategic partnership was reviewed between the two countries. Not to mention, this visit coincided with the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. It’s a significant development and convergence of visions that would bring mutual benefits to both friendly nations.

Exchanged Support On Key Issues

With both sides affirming their commitment towards exchanging support on key issues, they plan to fulfil the aspirations of their leadership. For this meeting, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi was present in the Kingdom at the invitation of Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan. They also held meetings, and during the talks, they reviewed the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations.

Recently, Saudi Arabia & Russia Also Signed Visa Waiver

This development comes days after Saudi Arabia and Russia signed a mutual visa waiver. Yes, in a meeting held on December 1st, the agreement was signed, which allowed mutual exemption of citizens of both countries. This took place on the sidelines of the Saudi-Russian Investment and Business Forum, which was held in Riyadh. This was inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, and His Excellency Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation.
