Shamita Shetty Angry With IndiGo For Offloading Luggage Without Informing
Taking to social media platforms, Shamita Shetty criticised IndiGo after the airline offloaded her luggage from their flight without intimating her. The actor was flying from Jaipur to Chandigarh for an event. And the luggage offloaded due to weight issues had her outfit which she had to wear for the event. Not just Shamita even her hairdresser’s bags were offloaded from their flight due to weight issues.

In the video, Shamita sarcastically asked if informing her before doing something like this is part of the airline’s protocol. The actress was stuck in Chandigarh airport due to this issue. The airline staff informed her that she must wait for the next flight to land in Chandigarh with her luggage.
This would be about 10:30 pm after her event gets over. To this, Shamita informed them that she had come for an event and she needed her bag containing the dress before the event. However, the ground staff told her they didn’t know what to do or how to help her.

Airline Responds To Her
While sharing the video, Shamita called the airline “pretty s***” and the ground staff “totally useless”. She urged her followers to think twice before flying with IndiGo. Reacting to her enraged post IndiGo apologised to her for the inconvenience caused. The airline responded that they tried to contact her on her registered number but the calls went unanswered. In turn, the airline asked her for an alternate contact number and a convenient time for them to reach out.

Shamita replied to their tweet calling it “plain wrong” to offload a bag without speaking to the passenger. She stressed that the airline did the same with not just her but 8 other people.
