We read somewhere that cooking is not just about making food, it is also about creating bonds and memories! Many of us have grown up watching our parents cook delicious meals at home and have learnt the art of cooking from them as well. An entrepreneur on X (formerly Twitter) showed how well he has been taught by his mother when he shared two very identical-looking gajar halwa that were made by him and his mother to surprise each other.
Entrepreneur Shares How His Mother Taught Him To Make Gajar Halwa
Like mom like son.
My mom started teaching me cooking when I was still in school. By the time I reached graduation she was teaching me complex stuff like gajar-halwa/gajar-pak.
Today my parents came from Patiala and to surprise us she brought gajar-pak. And, to surprise them,… pic.twitter.com/Dx3NNyMhOd

Entrepreneur Harshdeep Rapal recently posted a picture with two containers of similar-looking gajar halwa on X (formerly Twitter), and added a caption, “Like mom, like son.” In the post, he explained that his mother started teaching him how to cook when he was still in school. He added that by the time he reached graduation, she had started teaching him complex dishes like gajar ka halwa or gajar pak.
So, to surprise his parents, who were visiting him in Delhi from Patiala, he made a special gajar ka halwa. He was, in turn, surprised when his mother brought him some gajar halwa as well. Sharing the picture of both the halwas in one frame, he pointed out how similar they looked. He said, “Same texture, same colour, same consistency, same taste and even same level of sweetness. The only difference is she put in dry coconut, I did not.”
Finishing the post on a sweet note, he added, “She trained me well.” And we couldn’t agree more!
