1. Second Summer Programme Launches In Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge recently launched the Second Summer Programme. It has launched the summer programme with leading international universities, which includes 181 highest-performing grade 10 and 11 UAE national students. They’ve been selected as programme participants and will be given an opportunity to study at 14 universities in 12 countries across four continents.

Additionally, they will also be given academic discipline, which includes design, culture, entrepreneurship, and wildlife protection. It should be noted that this programme empowers the students to enhance their educational experiences.

2. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Visits Liwa Date Festival

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is the Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region recently visited the 20th Liwa Date Festival. Happening till July 28 in Al Dhafra region, this event underlines the historical status of palms. Protecting the cultural heritage, as well as supporting sustainable development and food security, His Highness to several pavilions. In case you weren’t aware, this event is organised by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority.

3. IndiGo To Launch Operations In 3 More Cities

Indian residents in the UAE are in for a treat as flights to their home country is bound to get cheaper. IndiGo plans to launch operations in three more cities the next month. This includes flights between Abu Dhabi and the cities of Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, and Mangaluru from August. For those who aren’t aware, IndiGo is a low-cost carrier from India and the one-way fare is expected to start for as low as AED330.

4. Flydubai Changes Flight Timings For

Due to severe unrest in Bangladesh, Dubai’s Dubai-based carrier flydubai has made changes to its flights to Dhaka. Yes, flights to Dhaka International Airport from Saturday to Tuesday will now be operating at a revised departure time. Flight FZ501 will be operating at 7 AM (UAE time) instead of 12:10 from the Dubai International Airport and will be returning at 3 PM from Bangladesh from their Dhaka Airport. However, Emirates flights are operating as scheduled.

5. Emirati Market Opens At Qingdao

Recently, the UAE opened an emirate market on Saturday in Qingdao. A part of the UAE-China friendship festival, it includes pavilions which are selling dates, traditional handicrafts, and the popular emirate. A festival that marks 40 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations, this exhibition features a comprehensive cultural programme, which includes performances of traditional arts as well as workshops.
