His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai attended Waqafat Walaa, which is the stand of loyalty. This was a ceremony that was organised by the Ministry of Defence. The event which happened in the Al Sameeh area of Abu Dhabi commemorated the 10th anniversary of the National and Reserve Service Law. For those who aren’t aware, this is a stand of loyalty. Not to mention, This was the largest military parade of the UAE forces in the history of the UAE.

Thousands of service and reserve force members participated in the historic parade that happened in Abu Dhabi. As a part of the 53rd UAE National Day celebrations, the parade was witnessed by Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai. As it happens, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi (Crown Prince of Fujairah), HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi (Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah), HH Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi (Crown Prince of Ajman), and HH Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu’alla (Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain), were also in attendance of this amazing event.

Handover Ceremony Of The Flag Of Khalifa Bin Zayed Airborne Brigade

The beautiful ceremony highlighted the lasting values of patriotism and sacrifice that inspire the citizens. In fact, Sheikh Mohammed expressed his deep appreciation for the citizens during the event, as they have upheld the responsibilities throughout the national services.

Besides this, there was also a handover ceremony of the flag of the Khalifa bin Zayed Airborne Brigade. Not to mention, a group of officers and non-commissioned officers from the UAE armed forces were also awarded the UAE military medal. The military medal recognised their crucial efforts during the foundational phase of the execution of the National and Reserve Service Law.

So, the event truly was an inspiration to the youth and left people proud of the nation.
