Himachal Pradesh opens doors to nature’s purest aura and magnificence. Visitors from nationwide and abroad visit this scenic state throughout the year. Though tourist footfall here persists to be noteworthy most of the time, this alluring destination notices a remarkable surge in travellers during the winter season. Tourists who visited Shimla, Manali, and nearby places over the weekend were welcomed with this season’s first snowfall.

Shimla Witnessed Winter Season’s First Snowfall

Netizens took to X to share breathtaking glimpses of the snow-covered hill town. Here are some splendid pictures and videos making rounds on the platform.

Imagine waking up to undisturbed views of snowy landscapes surrounding you. Locals and tourists experienced snowfall’s enchanting aura in Shimla, Manali, Kufri, and several other beautiful locations in Himachal Pradesh. A snowy whiteout is not a rare sight in Shimla. However, thick sheets of clear snow covering the surroundings here in early December came as a major surprise.

According to a report by The Tribune, many residents shared how this magnificent destination experienced snow in the early days of December for the time since the 1990s. Many tourists are now excited to pack their bags and head to Shimla to immerse in the glorious experience. The feeling of standing outside while it is snowing lightly is just too dreamy. Looks like the tourism industry is ready to record a major boost with the hill station receiving this season’s first snowfall so early.

With Christmas and New Year approaching soon, many visitors have already planned to spend the last few days of this year in Himachal Pradesh. The onset of snow in early December highlighted the grand news of an expected rise in tourist footfall in this state, especially in destinations such as Shimla and Manali. With more and more visitors travelling here surely signifies a wonderful growth in this season’s hospitality landscape.

Rich in verdant greenery and unimaginably splendid views, quaint locations such as Gindhla, Jispa, Jubbal, Keylong, Kharapathar, Narkanda, and Rohru received snowfall on Sunday. Ecstatic travellers enjoyed a mesmerising time yesterday, especially the ones who witnessed snow for the first time.
