South Africa is taking significant steps to bolster the travel sector and welcome visitors from worldwide. Recently, the country shared key updates about the introduction of a Trusted Tour Operator Scheme (TTOS) scheme. With its launch and implementation, Indian travellers can swiftly travel to South Africa. Coming into action in January 2025, this all-new scheme is likely to simplify Indians’ entry to this overseas country.

Along with Indians, the new entry process will apply to Chinese tourists too. Once implemented, the launch will emphasise easing the process of getting visas for travellers. The primary goal is to open the doors for more and more travel enthusiasts and report a significant boost to the travel industry.

South Africa also has plans to launch a visa waiver for Indian and Chinese visitors. According to a report by Business Standard, the country has a proposal for allowing eligible travellers to explore for up to 90 days without the mandated requirement of a visa. To make this plan a reality, the proposal needs to be approved first.
