Saba Azad recently took to her Instagram account to share an update. She said that after years of exploring together, she and her partner, Hrithik Roshan, will now share some of their favourite spots with their followers. They are calling it ‘Ro and Sa Recommend’. In their first edition, the couple have recommended a tiny Japanese restaurant in Barcelona. Saba uploaded a video of her and the War actor enjoying steaming dim sums and ramen at Shoronpo in Gràcia, a district in Barcelona. From the video, it seems like this cosy little ramen joint is tucked away in the streets of the city. Saba Azad wrote a caption under her video, which read, “Just two hungry hippos eating their way through the world!!”
For those of you travelling to Barcelona, Spain, soon, you might want to add this restaurant to your bucket list. After all, it is recommended by your favourite star, right? Shoronpo is an authentic Japanese restaurant known for its shoronpos (which actually means hot, juicy dumplings) and ramen in flavourful broth. Saba Azad also recommended the homemade ramen in chicken broth, Gekikara and the classic Shoronpo soup for foodies planning to go there. You would like to know that Shoronpo also specialises in Tantanmen Ramen. It is a spicy, savoury Japanese noodle soup known for its rich, creamy and nutty broth.
This Spot Promises An Unforgettable Japanese Dining Experience
You would like to know that Shoronpo is a small joint but promises an unforgettable dining experience for Japanese food lovers in Barcelona. Founded by Chef Keita Tanaka, the restaurant features an open kitchen with tables all around. It also offers a wide selection of ramen and dumplings. But expect waiting here, as the restaurant usually sees a lot of crowds due to its popularity.
Even Saba Azad mentioned in her Instagram post that she and Hrithik Roshan loved the food so much that they went back for the second time. But yes, they still had to stand in line for an hour and a half to secure a table. In the video, both of them could be seen slurping on their ramen and enjoying dumplings before the staff recognised Hrithik and clicked pictures with him. It must have been a great experience not just for the couple but for the team at Shoronpo too.
If we ever visit Spain, we are definitely adding Shoronpo to our list of restaurants to try. Come on, it is now Hrithik Roshan and Saba Azad approved!
