Start From Mumbai At 5am And Reach Goa At 1pm With The New Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express

Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express, the fourth one from Mumbai is all set for its inaugural run from Madgaon station on June 3. The new express will run between Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Goa’s Madgaon station. It will start early in the morning at 5:25am from Mumbai and reach Madgaon at 1:15pm covering a distance of 586 km in just eight hours.

The regular services of the new Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express will begin from June 4. It will leave Mumbai early in the morning and reach Madgaon by afternoon. The new express will reduce the travel time between the two by one hour.

The semi-high speed Vande Bharat will be an eight-coach train and will take 11 halts. The acceleration and deceleration of Vande Bharat Express helps in saving time.

The Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat express will halt at CSMT, Dadar, Panvel, Thane, Khed, Roha, Kankavli, Ratnagiri, Thivim and Madgaon. The train will be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi remotely. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Goa’s Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will be physically present at Madgaon station.

Fridays Will Be For Maintenance

The Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat express will run everyday except for Fridays. On Fridays the train will go for maintenance.

According to officials the train will see good occupancy as there is a good flow of crowd on this route throughout the year. 

The Konkan Railway route is now serviced daily by forty pairs of trains. Three Vande Bharat trains from Mumbai are already running; they go from Mumbai to Shirdi, Mumbai to Solapur, and Mumbai to Gandhinagar. 70% of the seats on these three trains are occupied.

Currently the fastest way to reach Goa from Mumbai is getting on the Tejas Express. It takes 8 hours and 50 minutes to cover the distance. But Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat promises the journey in 8 hours.
